Change Catalyst builds inclusive innovation ecosystems around the globe through strategic advising, coaching and education; startup programs and resources; and engaging events including our weekly Leading With Empathy & Allyship show. We’re looking for a Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing team and help us regularly manage speaking engagements, coordinate marketing materials, communicate with external parties, create podcast content, and handle the other communications tasks below. This is a full-time, remote role.

We’re a small, diverse team of changemakers who have fun (even remotely) and work like a startup (we all do a little bit of everything). We welcome fellow changemakers from a wide set of experiences ready to dive into new projects, learn and grow, and contribute your unique expertise.

Responsibilities

You’ll work closely with the CEO and Director of Marketing on sales, marketing, and communications. Responsibilities may include:

Marketing/Communications Coordination

  • Communicate with third-parties to coordinate meetings with clients and potential clients
  • Update sales pipeline
  • Coordinate, help develop, and proofread marketing materials including proposals, presentations, etc.
  • Manage all speaking engagements: communicate with clients and venues, schedule and coordinate calendars, manage all logistics
  • Maintain press & speaker database
  • Manage and update database of conferences and events, manage speaker proposal timelines, submit speaker proposals, coordinate travel (when this happens again!)
  • Coordinate Change Catalyst events (currently all online): including speaker communications and logistics, community partner cultivation and communications
  • Answer company inbound requests and emails
  • Market research as needed

Communications Content Creation (Leading With Empathy & Allyship and Icon Project)

  • Draft Show Notes
  • Draft weekly community email
  • Publish podcast on website, Buzzsprout, SoundCloud (and update YouTube)
  • Develop and update Canva graphics for social media
  • Draft social media posts
  • Research guests and topics for our show

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Written and verbal communication skills are core to this
  • Project management experience and solid time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of basic computer applications, programs, and features is essential; experience in graphic design is helpful
  • Experience working with various social media platforms for company accounts
  • Desire to work with a small, diverse team in a startup environment
  • Ability to work independently on some projects; and ability to work closely with a small, remote team on other projects where high communication is essential
  • Experience with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion a plus — if you don’t have experience here, a desire to learn and ability to grasp key concepts quickly is essential

Minimum 2+ years work experience. Degree in marketing, business administration, or equivalent a plus.

Salary dependent on experience.
